About Kaam

1.1What is Kaam.com?#

Kaam.com is built by Kaam Job Career Pvt Ltd, a company that makes platforms for employment and employability in India. For people looking for work, that is the Kaam ID: a page, a CV, the jobs and the tools, all free. For businesses, it is Kaam Hire and a free page for every business on the map. With partners such as the NRAI and the Kaabil programme with the Mahindra Group, we run programmes that take people from training to a job. One idea runs through all of it: every kind of work deserves a name, and every person deserves a fair shot at it.

1.2Who is Kaam for?#

The person looking for work, first. If it is your first job, straight out of school, ITI or college, Kaam builds your profile from what you have done, not what you have not. If you are working and want a change, it shows you where you fit better and what the market pays. If you are coming back after a break, or you have always worked without a CV, as a cook, a driver, a tailor, a guard, a delivery partner, a shop assistant, Kaam gives your work a page and a name. And if you run a business and need people, Kaam is for you too, on the business side.

1.3Is it free?#

Yes. Everything a job seeker uses on Kaam is free: the ID, the CV designs, the jobs, the practice, the checks, Kai. No plans, no paywall, no fee to apply. Never pay anyone to get work; a real employer pays you. Businesses pay only for Kaam Hire, the hiring desk.

1.4Which languages does Kaam speak?#

English, Hindi and Hinglish across the site, with the app also in Gujarati, Kannada and Tamil. Your Kaam ID page can carry your profile in more Indian languages, translated once and kept. Where a screen is not yet in your language, it falls back to English rather than to nothing.

Your Kaam ID

2.1What is a Kaam ID?#

Your name on the internet, for work: kaam.com/yourname. It is a page that shows what you do, a CV in any of forty-five designs, and a QR you can put on WhatsApp, a business card or a sticker. Employers see the whole picture in one place. It is yours, it is free, and it grows as you add to it.

2.2Why does everything start with one step?#

Because a profile built in one sitting never gets built. So Kaam asks for one small thing at a time, one to five minutes, and shows you what it changed. The steps climb a ladder of seven rungs: your name, your CV, who you are, verified, ready, work, and the first day. Each rung opens something: your first CV, your first matches, a badge, a practice interview. Small, daily, done.

2.3Why does a complete profile matter so much?#

Every match on Kaam reads your profile. Find Jobs and Jobs For You rank from it, the CV Kaam fits to each job is drawn from it, and employers search by it. An empty profile gets generic jobs; a complete one gets jobs for you, a CV that names the right skills first, and answers to screening questions in your own words. Ten minutes on the profile saves an hour on every application after it.

2.4What is Kaam Verified?#

Proof, without paperwork. Connect DigiLocker or upload a document, and Kaam checks it and adds a badge to your page: identity, education, work. Employers see that you are verified; they never see the documents. A verified page is read differently, and it is read first.

2.5I have never had a CV. Can I still use Kaam?#

Yes, and you are who Kaam was built for. Tell Kai what you do, in a chat or in a few taps, and the CV writes itself from your answers. Speak it if you would rather not type. Kaam never invents: what you say is what goes on the page, in the right order, in a design you choose.

The jobs

3.1Where do the jobs come from?#

Kaam is trying to be one place for the jobs of India, so you never have to go looking. We bring them in from trusted job sites, from company career pages, from government notices, from local businesses on the map, from employers who hire on Kaam, and from partner programmes. That is about 1.7 lakh live listings today, and every one of them is matched to your profile, not just listed. Most jobs stay where they were posted: Kaam links you to them and tells you exactly where you are going.

3.2Do I apply on Kaam or somewhere else?#

Usually on the site or company page that posted the job. Kaam tells you so before you leave, names the source, and hands you the CV fitted to that job so you arrive ready. Jobs posted on Kaam itself, by local businesses and by employers on Kaam Hire, you apply to right here.

3.3How does Kaam decide which jobs to show me?#

From your profile and from what you asked for. Find Jobs shows what you searched for; Better fit for you shows where your history says you would do well, even if you did not think to search for it. Jobs carry marks that matter: freshers welcome, part-time, work from home, senior, fractional. And Jobs Near Me shows what you can walk to.

3.4Does Kaam have government jobs?#

Yes. Sarkari Kaam reads government notices for you, from district offices across India, and puts them in plain English and Hindi: what the post is, who can apply, the dates, the fee, the link. Check whether you qualify in three taps. You apply on the official site, and Kaam shows you which one.

3.5What about jobs near me, in my own area?#

About 1.8 lakh businesses across India have a page on Kaam, shops, restaurants, clinics, offices, workshops. When a business posts a role, it shows up for people nearby first. Jobs Near Me puts them on a map, so a job you can walk to is easy to find.

3.6How do I know a job is real?#

The one rule: never pay to get work. A real employer pays you, never a fee, a deposit or a kit. Kaam checks the listings it shows for the signs of a scam, and before you leave for another site it tells you where you are going and reminds you of the rule. If you get an offer by message, paste it into the free checker at kaam.com/safe and it marks the words that give a scam away.

3.7I am a fresher. Is there anything for me?#

A lot. Jobs marked freshers welcome are read by Kaam to make sure no experience really is asked for. Your first-job profile is built from what you studied, what you are good at and what work you would take. Career Path shows you three roads from where you are, with what they pay in your city today. And every step on Kaam is small enough to do before your next class.

4.1What tools does Kaam have?#

4.2Who is Kai?#

Kai is Kaam's assistant. Kai asks what you do and what you want, builds your profile from the conversation, finds jobs, and checks in on your step for the day. Kai is on the site, in the app, and on WhatsApp, in your language. On WhatsApp, you write first; Kai never messages anyone who did not.

4.3Can Kaam help me before an interview?#

Yes. Interview Practice runs a mock interview for the role you want and tells you, line by line, what landed and what to sharpen. Skill Test gives you a score you can put on your page. What Jobs Pay tells you what the role pays in your city, so you walk in knowing your number.

Your data

5.1Who can see my page?#

Anyone you give the link to, and employers searching on Kaam. You choose what is on it. Your phone number and email stay hidden unless you turn them on. Your documents are never public, only the verified badge is. You can make the page private at any time.

5.2Is my data safe?#

Kaam.com is built and operated by Kaam Job Career Pvt Ltd, an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified company. Your data is used to build your profile and match you with work, and for nothing else. It is never sold. Kaam follows India's data protection law; what we hold, why, and how to ask for it are in the privacy policy.

5.3Can I delete my account?#

Yes, any time. Write to care@kaam.com from the address on your account and your page, your CV and your data are removed. Nothing is kept to make you stay.

5.4I run a business. What is Kaam for me?#
