Key Responsibilities
Prepare and present continental dishes according to recipes and company standards.
Manage the assigned kitchen section and ensure timely food preparation.
Maintain consistency in taste, quality, portioning, and presentation.
Ensure proper mise en place before service.
Monitor the freshness and quality of ingredients and ensure proper storage.
Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards at all times.
Monitor stock levels and inform the Sous Chef or Head Chef about replenishment requirements.
Minimise food wastage through proper portion control and ingredient utilisation.
Guide and supervise Commis Chefs and other kitchen team members in the assigned section.
Coordinate with other kitchen sections to ensure smooth and timely service.
Ensure kitchen equipment and workstations are clean and maintained properly.
Follow standard recipes, kitchen SOPs, and food safety procedures.
Qualification
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts preferred.
Relevant experience in continental cuisine and kitchen operations is required.
Previous experience as a CDP or in a similar role is preferred.
