Purchase Engineer

Job Responsibilities

Prepare purchase orders (PO) as per material requirements.

Procure electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation-related materials.

Coordinate with vendors and suppliers for quotations, pricing, and delivery schedules.

Compare vendor quotations and negotiate prices and payment terms.

Follow up with suppliers for timely material delivery.

Coordinate with the design, production, stores, and project departments.

Verify material specifications, part numbers, quantities, and technical requirements.

Maintain purchase orders, quotations, invoices, and other procurement records.

Develop new vendors and maintain good relationships with existing suppliers.

Ensure materials are purchased at the best price without compromising quality.

Track pending purchase orders and prepare procurement status reports.

Coordinate with the accounts department for invoice verification and payment processing.

Resolve material shortages, delivery delays, and supplier-related issues.

Technical Skills Required

Knowledge of electrical and mechanical components.

Basic knowledge of PLC, sensors, motors, drives, cables, and control panels.

Understanding of engineering drawings and BOM (Bill of Materials).

Knowledge of ERP systems, SAP, or other purchase software.

Good Excel and MS Office skills.

Knowledge of vendor management and negotiation.

Educational Qualification

Diploma or BE/B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or a related engineering field.

Experience in purchase/procurement in an automation or manufacturing company is preferred.

Job Objective: To ensure the timely procurement of the right materials at the right price and quality, supporting smooth project execution and production activities in an automation company.

Pay

₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
