About the Role

We are looking for a result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to manage and develop the assigned territory in Madhya Pradesh. The candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, strengthening the distributor/dealer network, developing the market, supporting field activities, and leading the sales team within the assigned area.

Key Responsibilities

• Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
• Develop and maintain a strong distributor, dealer, retailer, and farmer network.
• Identify new business opportunities and expand market coverage in the assigned area.
• Manage and strengthen relationships with existing channel partners.
• Monitor sales, collections, outstanding payments, sales returns, and stock movement.
• Ensure timely collection of outstanding payments as per company credit policies.
• Conduct regular market visits, farmer meetings, demonstrations, field days, and promotional activities.
• Monitor competitor activities, market trends, pricing, products, and schemes and provide market feedback to management.
• Ensure effective promotion and penetration of company products, particularly focus products.
• Guide and monitor Sales Officers/field staff/MDOs working in the assigned territory.
• Review team performance and ensure achievement of individual and territory-level targets.
• Ensure proper implementation of company schemes, campaigns, and sales strategies.
• Coordinate with dispatch, accounts, R\&D, marketing, and other departments for smooth business operations.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of daily reports, visit reports, sales MIS, forecasts, and other required reports.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, SOPs, reporting requirements, and SeedRoute/field reporting systems, wherever applicable.
• Monitor customer/distributor complaints and ensure timely resolution.
• Prepare regular sales forecasts and market development plans for the assigned territory.
• Support the launch and promotion of new products and varieties.
• Perform other sales and market-development responsibilities assigned by management.

Education

B.Sc./M.Sc. Agriculture, Agribusiness, or a related field preferred.

Candidates with relevant sales experience in the agriculture/seed/agri-input industry may also be considered.

Experience

• 3–6 years of relevant experience in agricultural seeds, crop protection, fertilizers, or related agri-input sales.
• Experience in Madhya Pradesh market will be preferred.
• Experience in distributor/dealer management and territory handling is highly desirable.

Pay

₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
