Investment Systems & Quant Research Intern

We are looking for a highly analytical intern from a top-tier engineering/technology institute who has a genuine interest in stock markets, investing, and trading, and wants to work at the intersection of finance, technology, and data.

At Aurrevia (a group company), you will work directly with the Co-founder & CIO to build technology-driven systems that support our investment and trading process. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking an investment idea, converting it into a framework, and then building the underlying system.

What you will work on

Building screening and stock-selection systems for listed equities

Developing quantitative frameworks for value, momentum, quality and market signals

Automating financial data collection, analysis and monitoring

Building dashboards and tools for portfolio tracking and risk management

Developing backtesting frameworks for investment and trading strategies

Creating alerts and systems to identify opportunities, risks and changes in market behaviour

Using Python, APIs, databases and AI/ML tools to improve the investment research workflow

Working closely with the CIO to translate investment frameworks into scalable technology

What we are looking for

Student/recent graduate from a top engineering/technology institute

Strong interest in stock markets, investing and/or trading

Strong Python/programming skills

Comfortable working with data, APIs, and large datasets

Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

Understanding of basic financial markets and equity investing

Curiosity to understand why a strategy works, rather than simply coding it

Prior experience with trading systems, backtesting, quant projects, Kaggle, personal investing, or financial data is a strong plus

What makes this role different

You will not be working as a typical intern on a predefined project. You will work closely with the CIO and have the opportunity to help build the investment technology stack and research infrastructure of Aurrevia from the ground up.
