Machine Operator – Sodium Silicate Chemical Manufacturing Plant

Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and hardworking Machine Operator to operate and monitor production equipment in our Sodium Silicate manufacturing plant, including reactors and autoclaves. Basic machine operation, process monitoring, safety, housekeeping, and following production instructions will be the key priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor reactors, autoclaves, and other production equipment as per standard operating procedures.
• Understand basic machine operations, controls, and operating parameters.
• Monitor temperature, pressure, flow, level, and other basic process parameters.
• Operate reactors and autoclaves safely as per prescribed process instructions.
• Start, stop, charge, discharge, and monitor equipment as instructed by the Production Supervisor.
• Check reactors, autoclaves, pumps, valves, pipelines, and other equipment for abnormal noise, leakage, vibration, or other issues.
• Inform the supervisor immediately about machine breakdowns, leakage, abnormal pressure/temperature, or process abnormalities.
• Maintain proper production records, batch records, and logbook entries.
• Follow safety instructions, PPE requirements, and chemical handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping around reactors, autoclaves, machines, and the production area.
• Assist in routine cleaning and basic maintenance activities.
• Follow production schedules, batch instructions, and directions from the Production Supervisor.
• Ensure proper handling of raw materials and finished products.
• Follow proper chemical charging, reaction, heating, cooling, pressure, and discharge procedures as instructed.
• Work as part of the production team and maintain discipline on the shop floor.

Basic Requirements

• ITI or Diploma pass-out from a recognized institute.
• Previous experience in a chemical or manufacturing plant will be preferred.
• Experience in operating reactors, autoclaves, pressure equipment, or similar chemical-process machinery will be an advantage.
• Basic understanding of machines, production processes, and process parameters.
• Ability to read basic instructions and maintain simple production records.
• Physically fit and comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
• Willingness to work in shifts.
• Good observation skills and a responsible attitude.
• Safety awareness and willingness to strictly follow operating instructions are essential.
• Ability to work safely around chemicals, heat, pressure, and industrial equipment.

Pay

₹25,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
