Purchase & Inventory - Intern

Experience Level: Fresher or 6 months experience (Entry Level)
Qualification: Diploma in Electronics (Completed / Final year)

About the Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Purchase & Inventory Intern to support procurement and inventory operations, gaining hands-on exposure to material flow, vendor coordination, and stores management in an electronics manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the team in day-to-day purchase and inventory operations

Update inventory records, daily material consumption, and inward material entries

Coordinate with the IQC (Incoming Quality Control) team for inspection of inward materials

Help collect requirements from departments and prepare purchase orders for approval

Follow up with vendors on the status of purchased items

Track rejected incoming materials and follow up on replacements

Support vendor communication and periodic vendor assessments

Assist in proper handling and storage of critical/sensitive components

Issue materials from the store as per departmental requirements

Maintain accurate and organised documentation

Required Skills & Qualifications

Pursuing or completed Diploma in Electronics Engineering

Basic knowledge of electronic components

Awareness of ESD-safe and humidity-controlled component handling

Good documentation skills and attention to detail

Good Communication skills in Malayalam. Proficiency in English and Hindi would be an added advantage.

Desired Skills

Basic MS Excel skills for record keeping

Willingness to learn supply chain fundamentals

Good communication and cross-functional coordination

Interest in vendor relationship-building
