Role Overview A pizza maker (also called a pizzaiolo or pizza chef) works in a kitchen to craft high-quality pizzas in a fast-paced setting. They manage the entire pizza creation process from raw ingredients to the final baked product Key Responsibilities Dough and Sauce Prep: Mix, knead, roll, and stretch pizza dough, and prepare fresh sauces and toppings. Cooking and Baking: Monitor oven temperatures and bake times in wood-fired, gas, or electric ovens. Station Maintenance: Clean and sanitize work areas, utensils, and equipment to meet local health and safety laws. Inventory Control: Monitor food stock, track ingredients, and restock supplies as needed. Order Management: Read order slips and complete customer requests quickly during peak hours Required Skills and Qualifications Culinary Skills: Knowledge of dough handling, food prep, and safe knife use.
