Job Overview

Citi is looking for a Lead Risk Regulatory Reporting Manager to take ownership of wholesale credit risk regulatory submissions for Citibank India, playing a critical role in ensuring accurate, timely, and complete reporting to the Reserve Bank of India. Sitting within the Risk Data Analytics, Reporting and Technology function, this role directly supports senior management, risk functions, and business units with high-quality risk data that underpins portfolio monitoring and regulatory compliance. You will act as the primary subject matter expert on Indian wholesale credit risk regulations, shaping how the organization monitors, manages, and responds to regulatory obligations.

Responsibilities

Prepare and submit wholesale credit risk regulatory reports to the Reserve Bank of India, covering frameworks including CRILC, Return on Large Credits, SMA, Advances, the Large Exposure Framework, and credit bureau reporting.

Serve as the subject matter expert on Indian wholesale credit risk regulations, with particular depth across Exposure Norms, Concentration Management, and the Capital Adequacy Framework.

Investigate and resolve data quality issues through structured root cause analysis, ensuring the integrity and accuracy of all regulatory submissions.

Engage cross-functional stakeholders across Risk, Finance, Business, and Technology to agree, track, and close action items that strengthen the organization's regulatory data quality.

Present findings and remediation progress to senior management, translating complex regulatory and data issues into clear, decision-ready summaries.

Provide business analysis support for risk data platforms and tools, contributing to the design and delivery of solutions that meet regulatory reporting requirements.

Coordinate with internal audit, governance, and risk control teams to support reviews and Reserve Bank of India onsite inspections.

Partner with business and risk control teams to embed firm-wide frameworks that ensure ongoing compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines.

Required Qualifications & Skills

12 or more years of experience in financial services, with direct exposure to risk regulatory reporting in an Indian banking context.

Demonstrable knowledge of wholesale credit risk regulatory requirements in India, including familiarity with CRILC, Return on Large Credits, SMA, Advances, the Large Exposure Framework, and credit bureau reporting.

Ability to manage multiple complex deliverables simultaneously in a high-volume environment where priorities shift at pace.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as VBA for reporting automation and efficiency.

Clear and confident communicator, with the ability to present complex risk and regulatory topics to senior audiences both in writing and verbally.

Beneficial Skills & Qualifications

Prior experience working on Credit Information Companies reporting, particularly in a wholesale credit context.

Familiarity with programming concepts, automation tools, or risk data systems that support regulatory reporting workflows.

Exposure to regulatory inspection processes or experience supporting Reserve Bank of India engagement directly.
