Job description

PICU Staff Nurse

Position: Staff Nurse – PICU
Department: Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
Experience: 1–3 years in PICU / Pediatric ICU preferred
Qualification: GNM / B.Sc Nursing
Registration: Valid KNC registration mandatory

Job Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.

Monitor vital signs and patient condition closely.

Administer medications, IV fluids and treatments as prescribed.

Handle ventilators, monitors and other PICU equipment.

Assist doctors during procedures and emergencies.

Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.

Follow infection control, medication safety and hospital protocols.

Coordinate with doctors and other healthcare teams for patient care.

Key Skills

Good pediatric/PICU nursing knowledge

Emergency handling and critical-care skills

Good communication and teamwork

Ability to work in rotational shifts

Compassionate and attentive approach towards pediatric patients and parents.
