Senior Staff Nurse – OGB / IP / Labour Ward
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Senior Staff Nurse with strong hands-on experience in OGB, Inpatient (IP) and Labour Ward nursing.
Key Responsibilities
Provide quality nursing care to antenatal, postnatal and gynaecology patients.
Manage patients in the OGB Inpatient (IP) ward.
Monitor patients during labour and identify any complications or emergencies.
Assist doctors during normal and complicated deliveries.
Monitor vital signs, fetal heart rate and labour progress.
Provide pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
Maintain accurate patient records and nursing documentation.
Handle obstetric emergencies and coordinate with doctors.
Ensure proper infection control and patient safety practices.
Educate patients and attendants regarding antenatal, postnatal and newborn care.
Supervise and support junior nursing staff.
Ensure smooth functioning of the ward and labour room during shifts.
Qualification
GNM / B.Sc Nursing from a recognized institution.
Valid Nursing Council registration.
Relevant experience in OGB, IP and Labour Ward preferred.
Required Experience & Skills
Strong OGB/IP and Labour Ward experience.
Experience in handling labour and delivery cases.
Good knowledge of obstetric and gynaecological nursing procedures.
Ability to handle emergency situations.
Good communication and patient-care skills.
Ability to coordinate and guide junior nursing staff.
Willingness to work rotational shifts.
Preferred Candidate
Candidates with 1+ years of relevant OGB, IP and Labour Ward experience will be preferred.
