About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented and commercially minded Product Development Executive to join our home textiles team.

The candidate will be responsible for taking textile concepts from the initial design stage through sampling and product development, coordinating closely with the design, production, merchandising and sampling teams.

The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of fabrics, prints, embroidery, construction, sampling and production processes, along with strong follow-up and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop new home furnishing textile products based on design concepts, market trends and customer requirements.
• Coordinate with the design team to convert concepts into commercially viable products.
• Work on development of fabrics, cushions, curtains, upholstery fabrics, bedspreads, decorative textiles and other soft-furnishing products.
• Coordinate with vendors, weavers, printers, embroiderers and other suppliers for product development.
• Source and evaluate suitable fabrics, yarns, trims, techniques and finishes.
• Prepare and maintain product development sheets, specifications and sampling details.
• Follow up on samples from initial development through final approval.
• Check samples for colour, quality, construction, dimensions, workmanship and finishing.
• Coordinate sampling timelines and ensure products are developed within deadlines.
• Work closely with the design team on colourways, fabric qualities, repeats, embroidery and print techniques.
• Identify suitable techniques and processes to achieve the required design and product look.
• Research new fabrics, techniques, finishes and manufacturing possibilities.
• Develop products keeping in mind international home furnishing trends and customer requirements.
• Maintain a proper record of samples, developments, approvals and revisions.
• Communicate development changes and technical requirements clearly to vendors and internal teams.
• Troubleshoot development and sampling issues and coordinate with relevant teams for solutions.
• Assist in developing new collections and product ranges for international markets.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of home textiles and furnishing fabrics.
• Understanding of fabric construction, printing, embroidery and finishing techniques.
• Good knowledge of fabric qualities, compositions, widths and applications.
• Strong vendor and supplier coordination skills.
• Good understanding of sampling and production processes.
• Strong follow-up and organisational skills.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple developments simultaneously.
• Good communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office.
• Ability to understand design concepts and translate them into commercially viable products.

will be preferred.

Experience working with international clients or export-oriented textile companies will be an added advantage.

Pay

₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
