Stores Executive / Store Keeper

(Heat Exchanger / Pressure Vessel Manufacturing)

Position Overview

Responsible for receipt, storage, inventory control, and issue of materials, ensuring proper traceability and availability of materials for production, especially for ASME and U-Stamp jobs.

Key Responsibilities

Material Receipt \& Inspection Coordination

• Receive incoming materials such as
• Plates, tubes, pipes
• Flanges, fittings, forgings
• Consumables (welding electrodes, gases, etc.)
• Verify
• Quantity and physical condition
• Documents (PO, delivery challan, invoice)
• Coordinate with QA/QC for inspection and clearance

Material Identification \& Traceability

• Ensure proper identification and tagging of materials
• Maintain heat number / batch traceability (critical for U-Stamp jobs)
• Store materials as per project-wise segregation
• Support compliance with
• ASME
• ASME U Stamp requirements

Inventory Management

• Maintain accurate stock records
• Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels
• Avoid shortages and excess inventory

Material Issue to Production

• Issue materials against authorized requisitions
• Ensure correct material is issued as per
• BOM
• Project requirements
• Maintain issue records and balance stock

Storage \& Preservation

• Ensure proper storage of materials to avoid
• Damage
• Corrosion
• Mixing of materials
• Follow FIFO (First In First Out) where applicable

Documentation \& Record Keeping

• Maintain records of
• Goods Receipt Notes (GRN)
• Stock registers
• Material Issue Slips
• Maintain MTC (Mill Test Certificate) records and traceability documents

Coordination with Departments

• Work closely with
• Procurement (for incoming materials)
• QA/QC (for inspection \& release)
• Production (for material requirement planning)

Stock Audit \& Control

• Participate in internal and external audits
• Conduct periodic physical stock verification
• Identify and resolve discrepancies

Required Skills

Technical Skills

• Knowledge of
• Engineering materials (CS, SS, alloys)
• Material identification and traceability
• Basic understanding of drawings/BOM

System Skills

• Experience in
• Excel / ERP systems
• Inventory management systems

Soft Skills

• Attention to detail
• Organization and record-keeping
• Coordination with multiple departments

Qualifications

• Diploma / Graduate (preferred)
• Experience
• 2–8 years in fabrication / engineering industry stores

Pay

₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
