Node JS Team Leader

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and leadership-driven Node.js Team Lead to spearhead our backend engineering team. In this role, you will define technical strategy, architect highly available server-side components, and manage the complete software development lifecycle (SDLC). Beyond your technical expertise, you will act as a mentor, guiding junior and mid-level developers, resolving technical roadblocks, and aligning engineering outcomes with corporate milestones.

Technical Leadership & Architecture

System Design

Architect, build, and maintain low-latency, high-availability, and highly secure Node.js applications and services.

API Development: Direct the design, implementation, and optimization of robust, scalable RESTful APIs and WebSockets for real-time systems.

Database Modeling: Oversee data modeling and optimize query performance across SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) database structures.

Modern Paradigms

Implement and enforce clean microservices architecture, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and event-driven patterns.

DevOps Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, automate deployments, and manage cloud infrastructure on platforms like AWS or Azure.

Team Management & Delivery

People Management

Mentor, coach, and support backend developers to cultivate a continuous learning culture.

Quality Assurance

Conduct constructive code reviews, establish coding standards, and proactively tackle technical debt.

Sprint Accountability: Partner with Project Managers to scope features, estimate effort, manage technical escalations, and guarantee on-time sprint deliveries.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the technical point-of-contact for UI/UX designers, frontend application developers, and corporate stakeholders

Leadership & Soft Skills

Experience: Typically requires 5+ years of overall backend development experience, featuring at least 1–2 years in a dedicated Team Lead or Lead Developer capacity.

Problem Solving

Exceptional debugging, performance diagnostic, and critical thinking capabilities.

Communication

Clear verbal and written presentation skills to effectively explain deep technical concepts to non-technical partners.

Education

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or an equivalent engineering field is generally preferred

Pay

₹80,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per year
