Job Description

Deepak Fasteners Ltd. is looking for an experienced Purchase Executive / Assistant Manager – Purchase for its manufacturing plant at Village Jaspalon, Doraha, Punjab.

The candidate should have strong experience in purchasing raw materials and production-related items, preferably within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Purchase raw materials, Bought-Out Items required for production.
• Ensure timely availability of materials to support uninterrupted production.
• Understand the correct material grades, specifications and quality requirements before procurement.
• Coordinate with suppliers for quotations, price negotiation, delivery schedules and material availability.
• Regularly check market prices and track price trends for major raw materials.
• Control material costs through effective negotiation and supplier development.
• Identify and develop alternate suppliers to improve cost, quality and supply reliability.
• Explore alternate materials where technically suitable and approved.
• Compare supplier quotations based on price, quality, specification and delivery.
• Follow up with vendors to ensure materials are received as per production requirements.
• Coordinate with Production, Stores and Quality teams regarding material requirements and specifications.
• Handle purchase-related activities and records through SAP.
• Support inventory control by avoiding unnecessary purchases and material shortages.

Candidate Requirements

• 5–10 years of purchasing/procurement experience.
• Manufacturing plant experience is compulsory.
• Good knowledge of material grades and specifications.
• Good understanding of raw-material market pricing and price trends.
• Hands-on working knowledge of SAP.
• Strong vendor development, negotiation and cost-control skills.

Salary

₹30,000–₹50,000 CTC per month, depending on experience and suitability.
