Radiology Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care \& Preparation
• Greet patients, verify identity, and review medical history/doctor's orders.
• Explain the imaging process to ease anxiety and answer questions.
• Position patients accurately to capture the required anatomical structures. \[1]
• Imaging Operations
• Operate diagnostic equipment such as X-ray machines, CT scanners, MRI units, or fluoroscopy systems.
• Follow the ALARA principle (As Low as Reasonably Achievable) to minimize radiation exposure for patients and staff.
• Shield non-targeted body parts and wear radiation monitoring dosimeters (e.g., TLD badges). \[1, 2, 3, 4]
• Equipment \& Quality Control
• Calibrate, test, and perform routine maintenance checks on imaging machinery.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to the department supervisor or biomed team immediately.
• Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of equipment and rooms between patients. \[1, 2]
• Collaboration \& Documentation
• Log patient data, organize digital or film archives, and maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR).

Pay

₹8,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
