Delivery Manager-Snowflake Data Engineer

Job purpose

We are seeking a highly skilled and hands-on Data Engineer with strong expertise in Snowflake, PL/SQL, and modern data engineering practices to support investment data platforms and analytics initiatives. The role requires designing, developing, and optimizing scalable data solutions while working closely with business and technology stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, a strong understanding of financial data, and a passion for learning new technologies and solving complex data challenges. This is a hands-on engineering role with limited people-management responsibilities.

Key responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data integration solutions using Snowflake and related technologies.

Implement and support Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) to enable robust, governed, and high-quality data platforms.

Develop, optimize, and troubleshoot complex PL/SQL procedures, packages, queries, and ETL processes.

Build and maintain data ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows using modern data orchestration tools.

Work closely with business stakeholders to understand investment data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.

Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, security, and performance across the data ecosystem.

Support data modeling, warehousing, reporting, and analytical requirements for investment and financial data platforms.

Perform root-cause analysis and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.

Continuously evaluate and adopt new technologies, tools, and best practices to improve platform capabilities.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams while remaining actively involved in design, development, testing, and deployment activities.

Participate in code reviews, technical documentation, and knowledge-sharing sessions.

Work from the client’s office location and engage directly with business and technology teams as required.

Key competencies

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, MCA, or a related discipline.

Strong hands-on expertise in Snowflake, including data modeling, data transformation, performance tuning, and warehouse optimization.

Hands-on experience with dbt (Data Build Tool) for building, testing, documenting, and managing scalable data transformation workflows.

Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL development, query optimization, database performance tuning, and troubleshooting.

Solid understanding and practical implementation experience of Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers).

Experience designing, developing, and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and modern data integration solutions.

Hands-on experience with data orchestration and workflow management tools such as Airflow or equivalent platforms.

Strong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, data quality, and data governance principles.

Experience working with large-scale structured and semi-structured datasets in cloud-based data platforms.

Willingness to work from the client's office location on a full-time basis and collaborate closely with client stakeholders.

Good understanding of investment management, private/public markets, securities, portfolios, holdings, transactions, and reference data.

Ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-performance data solutions.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging capabilities.

Demonstrated commitment to remaining hands-on and continuously learning emerging technologies and industry best practices.

Effective stakeholder engagement and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with business and technology teams.

Strong verbal and written communication skills in a client-facing environment.

Self-driven, accountable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.

Adaptable and flexible in responding to changing business priorities and evolving project requirements.
