Job Description
Role purpose: Drive the profitable growth of Schneider Electric’s Automatic Transfer Switch, PPATS, business in India by translating global and International Hub priorities into locally executable commercial plans. The role owns business development with the India Front Office across relevant customer segments, channels, specifiers, consultants, contractors, and strategic accounts.
Reporting and governance: The position works directly with the India Front Office to develop and execute the PPATS business plan and shape the product and program strategy needed to drive growth. It has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the designated member of this team who is driving with the International Hub team member. This model reinforces local ownership and alignment with India priorities while ensuring consistent Global and Hub coordination on strategy, offers, pricing, supply, technical support, and business performance.
Measures of success: Achievement of agreed sales, growth, margin, pipeline, forecast accuracy, conversion, offer deployment, and customer-engagement objectives for PPATS in India.
Key responsibilities
Sales and margin performance: Own the India PPATS growth plan and drive execution with the India Front Office, channels, and relevant business units. Deliver agreed targets for orders, sales, growth, gross margin, transfer pricing, and commercial effectiveness.
Customer and stakeholder engagement: Serve as the principal PPATS business-development contact for the India Front Office. Build strong relationships with customers, consultants, contractors, panel builders, distributors, and internal stakeholders; coordinate timely resolution of commercial, technical, supply, and service issues.
Strategy, pipeline, and forecasting: Assess the India market by segment, application, customer, and channel; maintain a qualified opportunity pipeline; prepare reliable forecasts; and recommend priorities, resource needs, and corrective actions to deliver the annual business plan.
Offer deployment and marketing: Adapt PPATS value propositions, launch plans, pricing, promotion, and sales-enablement activities to India market requirements. Lead market studies, competitive analysis, training, specification influence, and commercialization of relevant North American and global offers in coordination with the India Front Office and International Hub.
Account and project development: Identify, qualify, and prioritize strategic accounts and projects with the India Front Office. Develop capture plans, coordinate quotations and technical support, remove barriers to conversion, and track opportunities through order closure.
Ways of working: Operate as the link between the India Front Office and the International Hub, with clear accountability for local execution, transparent performance reporting, disciplined follow-up, and early escalation of gaps requiring hub support or leadership decisions.
