Job Summary

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Assistant Nursing Supervisor to support the Nursing Supervisor in managing nursing operations, ensuring quality patient care, maintaining clinical standards, and coordinating nursing staff across assigned departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Nursing Supervisor in the day-to-day management of nursing services.
• Supervise and coordinate nursing staff to ensure smooth patient care operations.
• Monitor nursing practices and ensure compliance with hospital policies and clinical protocols.
• Ensure proper staffing, duty allocation, shift scheduling, and staff attendance.
• Monitor patient care, nursing documentation, medication administration, and safety practices.
• Support implementation of infection prevention and control protocols.
• Conduct regular rounds and identify issues related to patient care, staff performance, and ward management.
• Assist in handling patient and attendant concerns professionally and promptly.
• Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, and other hospital departments for effective patient management.
• Ensure proper maintenance and availability of nursing equipment, supplies, and emergency items.
• Assist in orientation, training, and performance evaluation of nursing staff.
• Report incidents, shortages, and operational concerns to the Nursing Supervisor/Nursing Manager.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and ensure adherence to ethical nursing practices.
• Support emergency and critical-care situations as required.

Eligibility \& Qualifications

• GNM/B.Sc. Nursing/M.SC Nursing from a recognized institution.
• Valid nursing registration with the respective State Nursing Council.
• Relevant experience in hospital nursing services, preferably in a supervisory role.
• Good knowledge of nursing procedures, patient safety, infection control, and hospital protocols.
• Strong leadership, communication, coordination, and team-management skills.
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
• Willingness to work in rotational shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Experience

• 2–5 years of relevant nursing experience, with prior supervisory or team-lead experience preferred.
• Experience in a multispecialty hospital will be an advantage.
