Chemical Plant Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor chemical processing equipment, reactors, and control panels as per SOPs
• Monitor process parameters (temperature, pressure, flow rate) and adjust as needed to maintain quality standards
• Perform routine equipment checks and report malfunctions or deviations promptly
• Follow all safety protocols, including use of PPE and adherence to plant safety guidelines
• Maintain accurate production logs, batch records, and shift reports
• Coordinate with maintenance team for preventive and breakdown maintenance
• Handle raw material charging, mixing, and product discharge as per process requirements
• Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
• Support housekeeping and 5S practices at the workstation
• Assist in troubleshooting process issues and participate in root cause analysis.

Requirements

• Diploma/ITI in Chemical Engineering or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in chemical plant operations, preferably in a manufacturing environment and must be able to handle glass wear.
• Working knowledge of process safety and statutory compliance (Factory Act, PSM)
• Ability to work in rotational shifts
• Basic computer skills for logging data and reports.

Pay

₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
