Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated Agricultural Procurement Executive to source cereals, pulses, grains, and organic agricultural products directly from farmers. The candidate will be responsible for developing farmer relationships, negotiating procurement prices, ensuring product quality, and coordinating the supply of agricultural products to our stores for retail sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and connect directly with farmers to procure agricultural products.
• Source cereals, pulses, millets, rice, grains, and other organic farm produce.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with farmers and agricultural suppliers.
• Negotiate purchase prices, quantities, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
• Coordinate product collection, transportation, packaging, and delivery to stores.
• Inspect product quality, freshness, cleanliness, and storage conditions.
• Monitor market prices, seasonal availability, and agricultural product demand.
• Maintain farmer databases, purchase orders, procurement records, and supplier details.
• Coordinate with store teams to ensure product availability and timely replenishment.
• Develop a reliable farmer network for direct sourcing and cost-effective procurement.
• Identify opportunities to reduce purchasing costs while maintaining product quality.
• Travel to farms and agricultural sourcing locations when required.
• Ensure appropriate verification and documentation before selling products as organic.

Required Skills

• Strong communication, negotiation, and vendor management skills.
• Knowledge of cereals, pulses, grains, and organic agricultural products.
• Experience in agricultural procurement, farmer sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Ability to build and maintain relationships with farmers.
• Knowledge of agricultural market prices and product quality assessment.
• Basic computer knowledge and MS Excel skills.
• Willingness to travel for farmer visits and product sourcing.

Eligibility Criteria

• Any degree; agriculture-related qualifications are an added advantage.
• 4+ years of relevant experience preferred.
• Experience in direct farmer procurement, organic product sourcing, or agricultural trading is preferred.
• Candidates with an established network of farmers are highly preferred.
