About this job

At Cokonet, we believe learning is not listening—learning is living the experience. We don't do boring 2-hour slide deck lectures or static theoretical teaching.

We are looking for a Software Testing Learning Coach who brings high energy, adaptability, and a practical mindset to the learning space. As a Coach, you won't just teach testing concepts—you will simulate real-world testing scenarios, mentor learners through practical QA projects, guide portfolio building, and help learners become job-ready software testing professionals.

Who You Are (Mindset \& Culture Fit)

  • A Facilitator, Not a Lecturer: You prefer live demonstrations, hands-on testing, practical challenges, and interactive problem-solving over passive slide presentations.
  • Obsessed with Growth \& Adaptability: You continuously explore new testing tools, automation frameworks, and AI-powered testing solutions.
  • Empathetic \& Outcome-Driven: You care about learner transformation and helping students become industry and interview ready.
  • High Energy \& Engaging: You can engage learners during classroom sessions, online training, bootcamps, workshops, and college hackathons.
  • Open to Feedback \& Continuous Iteration: You continuously improve learning content based on industry trends, SME inputs, and learner outcomes.

Key Responsibilities1. Facilitate Experiential \& Hands-on Learning

  • Lead implementation-focused sessions in Manual Testing, Automation Testing, API Testing, and Software Quality Assurance.
  • Explain testing concepts through practical exercises, real-world applications, and simulated industry scenarios.
  • Conduct online and offline training, including evening batches and flexible delivery schedules.
  • Prepare lesson plans, testing exercises, assignments, assessments, test cases, and practical lab activities.

Coach, Mentor \& Build Job-Ready Talent

  • Conduct 1-on-1 code reviews, test-case reviews, project evaluations, and skill-gap analysis.
  • Guide learners in building industry-ready QA portfolios through manual testing, automation scripts, API testing, and database testing projects.
  • Mentor learners on test documentation, defect reporting, GitHub, resume building, and interview preparation.
  • Conduct mock technical interviews and provide actionable feedback on technical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Continuous Curriculum \& Testing Innovation

  • Continuously update learning tracks, testing scenarios, automation frameworks, and practical projects based on industry requirements.
  • Regularly connect with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to understand changing industry expectations.
  • Introduce modern testing tools, AI-assisted testing solutions, and automation practices into the learning workflow.
  • Continuously upskill and bring emerging QA technologies and best practices into the classroom.

Ecosystem \& Industry Engagement

  • Represent Cokonet at college campuses through workshops, bootcamps, hackathons, seminars, webinars, and guest sessions.
  • Support internship-oriented activities and industry-focused software testing projects.
  • Collaborate with Academics, Operations, and Placement teams to support learner progress and hiring outcomes.

Technical Toolkit \& Expertise

We expect our coaches to be hands-on testing practitioners who can design test cases, execute tests, automate workflows, identify defects, and demonstrate real-world QA processes live in front of an audience.

Manual Testing \& Quality Assurance

  • Software Testing Fundamentals
  • SDLC and STLC

Academic \& Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3–6 years of teaching/training experience preferred.
  • Experience in a relevant Software Testing / QA technical domain along with teaching/training experience preferred.
  • Preferred: Industry experience with strong training and communication skills.
  • Ability to conduct interactive, hands-on, implementation-focused sessions that encourage learner engagement, collaboration, and peer learning rather than lecture-based teaching.
