Sales Team Leader

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and manage the sales team to achieve monthly and annual vehicle sales targets.

• Monitor individual and team performance, lead conversion ratios, bookings, retail deliveries, and revenue.

• Generate business opportunities through walk-in customers, digital leads, referrals, corporate sales, and other channels.

• Ensure timely follow-up of customer enquiries and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

• Guide the team in customer handling, vehicle presentations, test drives, negotiation, and closing sales.

• Monitor daily sales activities and conduct regular team meetings to review targets and performance.

• Coordinate with finance, insurance, accessories, exchange, and delivery teams to ensure smooth vehicle delivery.

• Handle customer escalations professionally and resolve sales-related issues promptly.

• Support the Sales Manager in business planning, forecasting, and achieving dealership objectives.

Required Skills

• Strong leadership and team management abilities.

• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

• Proven ability to achieve sales targets and improve team performance.

• Good knowledge of passenger car sales and dealership operations.

• Strong customer relationship management and lead conversion skills.

• Ability to analyse sales data, prepare reports, and take corrective action.

• Problem-solving skills and a customer-first approach.

Eligibility Criteria

• 3–6 years of experience in sales, preferably in the automobile dealership industry.

• Prior experience in leading or supervising a sales team will be an advantage.

• Knowledge of vehicle sales processes, automotive finance, insurance, and exchange procedures is preferred.

• A valid driving licence is preferred.
