VMC Machine Operator

Operate Vertical Machining Centre (VMC) machines for precision component manufacturing. Read and understand engineering drawings, job specifications, and machining dimensions. Perform machine setting, tool loading, and tool offset adjustments as required. Monitor machining operations and ensure product quality. Inspect finished components using measuring instruments such as Vernier Calipers, Micrometers, and Height Gauges. Identify machining defects and report machine or quality issues to the supervisor. Maintain production targets while following quality and safety standards. Perform routine machine cleaning and basic maintenance. Follow production instructions and maintain workplace discipline. Basic knowledge of VMC machine operation and machining processes. Ability to read engineering drawings. Knowledge of cutting tools, tool offsets, and measuring instruments. Understanding of quality inspection and production requirements. Willingness to work in rotational shifts, if required.
