Chef de Partie – Bakery / Pastry: Role Overview

The successful candidate will contribute to guest satisfaction, operational consistency and effective teamwork in a luxury hospitality setting. Exact reporting relationships, selection criteria and employment conditions will be confirmed by the employer.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare pastries, breads, desserts and baked products to approved production plans and recipes.

Organise section mise en place, baking schedules, ingredient availability and service handovers.

Maintain portion size, texture, finishing standards, temperature control and freshness.

Work with culinary colleagues to align pastry output with daily dining requirements.

Follow safe food handling, allergen management, ingredient rotation and sanitation protocols.

Guide junior colleagues and communicate stock or equipment needs promptly.

Relevant Skills and Experience

Hands-on hotel or professional bakery and pastry kitchen experience.

Knowledge of baking methods, pastry finishing and production planning.

Strong attention to consistency, presentation, hygiene and detail.

Ability to communicate and work effectively during busy service periods.
