CO-ORDINATES / DUTIES HANDOVER (In case of absence): DIC / Jr.Lab Technician

RESPONSIBILITY & AUTHORITY

§ Collect Blood Primarily by performing Vein punctures

§ Giving instructions to the patient for special test regarding sample collection

§ Trains and provides leadership to new/existing employees

§ Reports quality issues and procedural deviations to Quality Assurance and Management

§ Ensuring that the patient is as comfortable and relaxed as possible and confirming their agreement to the collection of a blood sample.

§ Ensuring samples are stored in appropriate containers.

§ Accurate, legible labelling of all samples to confirm patient identity.

§ Recording collection of blood sample in patient record in accordance with practice procedure.

§ Ensuring that samples are dispatched to the appropriate laboratories in a timely fashion.

§ Ensuring that anomalies are reported to a senior member of staff.

To identify the non conformance and take corrective & preventive action & report to department in charge.

Ensure that patient confidentiality is maintained at all times.

Act as auditee during internal audit of the lab

Provide any valuable inputs to the management for better and quality service by the organization.

Maintain work ethics and team building in the department.

Collect feed backs and complaints from users and communicating the corrective actions, if required to users.
