Housekeeping Supervisor

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage the daily activities of housekeeping staff.
• Ensure cleanliness and hygiene across classrooms, washrooms, corridors, offices, activity areas, and the school campus.
• Allocate duties, monitor staff attendance, and ensure timely completion of assigned tasks.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation.
• Ensure the proper use, storage, and replenishment of cleaning materials and equipment.
• Monitor waste segregation and ensure proper disposal of dry and wet waste.
• Maintain housekeeping checklists, duty rosters, and cleaning records.
• Coordinate with the administration team regarding maintenance needs, repairs, and housekeeping supplies.
• Ensure adherence to school safety, hygiene, and child-protection protocols.
• Train housekeeping staff on cleaning procedures, safe chemical handling, and workplace discipline.

Requirements

• Previous experience in housekeeping supervision, preferably in a school, hospital, hotel, or institutional setting.
• Good team-management, communication, and organisational skills.
• Ability to maintain discipline, follow schedules, and handle responsibilities independently.
• Knowledge of cleaning equipment, sanitation practices, and hygiene standards.
• A proactive attitude and attention to detail.
