Junior Accountant

Key Responsibilities

Daily Accounting Tasks

• Record and process day-to-day financial transactions in Tally ERP.
• Maintain accounts payable and receivable records.
• Perform bank reconciliations and petty cash management.

Tax Compliance

• Assist in the preparation and filing of GST, TDS, and other statutory returns.
• Ensure accurate calculation of taxes and timely submission of payments.

Financial Records Management

• Maintain and update financial data in accounting software.
• Ensure all invoices, receipts, and vouchers are properly documented and filed.

Support in Financial Reporting

• Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Help in the preparation of budgets and expense tracking.

Auditing Support

• Support internal and external audits by providing required data and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Excel Work

• Use MS Excel for data entry, creating reports, and analyzing financial data.
• Work with formulas, pivot tables, and basic data analysis tools.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance.
• Proficiency in Tally ERP and basic to intermediate knowledge of MS Excel.
• Familiarity with GST, TDS, and other basic tax regulations in India.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Skills

• Prior internship or work experience in accounting.
• Basic knowledge of Indian Accounting Standards (IND AS).
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
