Key Responsibilities1. Neonatal Resuscitation \& Delivery Coverage

  • Manage common pediatric emergencies (e.g., febrile convulsions, status epilepticus, severe dehydration, respiratory distress/croup, acute asthma, severe gastroenteritis).
  • Supervise bedside procedures performed by RMOs and nursing teams (pediatric IV lines, blood draws, nebulization protocols).
  • Multidisciplinary Coordination \& Parent Counselling
  • Collaborate seamlessly with the Obstetrics team for pre-delivery counseling in high-risk pregnancies and fetal growth restriction cases.
  • Guide anxious parents with patience, empathy, and clear explanations regarding disease pathology, prognosis, and preventive home care.
  • Ensure clear, compliant, and timely documentation of admission notes, clinical progress charts, growth charts, and discharge summaries.

Qualifications \& Competencies

  • Education: MBBS with MD (Paediatrics) / DNB (Paediatrics) / DCH (Diploma in Child Health) from an NMC/MCI recognized institution.
