Role details

DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Bengaluru Outer Ring Road is hiring a Sous Chef – Western at its Sarjapur Road hotel in Bengaluru. Lead day-to-day Western kitchen production and support the Executive Chef in maintaining consistent menus, culinary quality and team performance.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and supervise Western cuisine mise en place, cooking, plating and daily kitchen output.

Coordinate breakfast, buffet, à la carte and special-event preparations with senior culinary colleagues.

Train and guide section chefs on recipes, portions, presentation and service timing.

Monitor temperature records, hygiene, allergen controls and safe storage procedures.

Check ordering requirements, ingredient quality, yield and effective stock utilisation.

Resolve service issues promptly while coordinating with food and beverage teams.

Skills and Experience

Substantial experience preparing Western cuisine in a professional hotel or restaurant kitchen.

Comfort supervising culinary sections and supporting menu and production planning.

Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene, safe handling and cost control.

Ability to coach colleagues, communicate clearly and sustain quality under pressure.
