Logistics Trainee

Shipment Tracking & Coordination: Monitor the movement of incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and communicating updates to internal teams. • Inventory & Stock Management: Assist in daily inventory audits, verify warehouse stock levels, and flag discrepancies or material shortages. • Documentation & Compliance: Prepare, review, and maintain essential shipping documents, including delivery notes, bills of lading, customs paperwork, and commercial invoices. • Vendor & Carrier Communication: Coordinate with third-party logistics (3PL) providers, freight forwarders, and transport vendors to negotiate timelines and resolve shipping delays. • Data Entry & Reporting: Use internal tools and spreadsheets to input logistical data, compile daily operational metrics, and track performance KPIs (e.g., on-time delivery rates). • Process Improvement: Observe warehouse and transit workflows to identify bottlenecks and suggest methods to reduce transportation costs or handling time.
