Core Responsibilities
- Database Maintenance: Install, configure, patch, and upgrade MS SQL Server instances.
- Performance Tuning: Optimize slow queries, manage index strategies, and eliminate hardware bottlenecks.
- Disaster Recovery: Establish secure backup, restore, and automated data validation plans.
- High Availability: Configure and maintain Always On Availability Groups, failover clustering, and replication.
- Security & Compliance: Implement role-based user permissions, data encryption, and regular security audits.
- Process Automation: Write PowerShell, T-SQL, or Python scripts to automate routine DBA tasks.
- Production Support: Provide real-time troubleshooting for database errors, often participating in an on-call rotation
