Junior IT Support Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows operating systems and common software applications.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
• Set up user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
• Install and configure antivirus software and security updates.
• Assist in maintaining IT inventory and asset records.
• Respond to support tickets and resolve issues within agreed timelines.
• Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT staff when required.
• Perform routine system maintenance, backups, and updates.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities for employees.
• Document technical issues, resolutions, and standard operating procedures.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems.
• Understanding of computer hardware, peripherals, and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365.
• Basic networking knowledge (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, LAN/Wi-Fi).
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
