Job Description

Manage and maintain the school library, including books, journals, and reference materials.

Maintain book records, issue registers, and student membership records.

Issue and receive books and ensure their proper handling.

Help students and teachers find relevant books and learning resources.

Organize books systematically and maintain a quiet, disciplined library environment.

Promote reading habits and organize reading activities for students.

Maintain library catalogues and digital records.

Assist in selecting and purchasing new books and educational materials.

Qualification

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Library Science / Library and Information Science preferred.

B.Lib.I.Sc. / M.Lib.I.Sc. or equivalent qualification as per school requirements.

Basic computer knowledge and familiarity with library management software preferred.

Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
