JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Operations Team Member to join our Commercial Operations team within the Wholesale Banking Group (WBG). The ideal candidate will be responsible for verifying legal documentation, maintaining operational records, and ensuring compliance with internal and regulatory standards. This role demands strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. The candidate will be involved in end-to-end documentation verification, collateral and limit maintenance, insurance policy coordination, and post-disbursement tracking. The role also includes liaison with auditors, MIS reporting, and coordination with various internal teams for seamless operational execution.

ey Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations related to Working Capital products such as

Cash Credit (CC)

Overdraft (OD)

Bank Guarantees (BG)

Letter of Credit (LC)

Bills Discounting/Purchase

Supply Chain Finance products

Ensure timely processing, servicing, and maintenance of all working capital facilities.

Monitor operational risk, compliance, audit observations, and regulatory adherence.

Review and authorize transactions within delegated authority limits.

Coordinate with Business, Credit, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Branch Operations teams for smooth execution of transactions.

Drive process efficiency, productivity enhancement, and automation initiatives.

Handle escalations from internal and external stakeholders and ensure prompt resolution.

Track service delivery metrics, TAT adherence, and operational controls.

Prepare MIS, dashboards, management reports, and business performance reviews.

Support internal, concurrent, and external audits and ensure closure of audit observations.

Lead, guide, and develop a team of officers/executives to achieve operational excellence.

Candidate Requirements

Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Banking, or related discipline.

6-10 years of relevant experience in Banking Operations with exposure to Working Capital Operations.

Strong understanding of CC/OD, BG, LC, Trade Finance, and collateral management.

Knowledge of RBI guidelines, operational risk, and banking regulations.

Effective stakeholder management and people management skills.

Proficiency in core banking systems and MS Excel.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Verify executed legal documents as per the Documentation Grid and Sanction Letter/Term Sheet. Ensure adherence to Stamp Duty norms as per the Legal Stamp Duty Grid. Maintain limits and collateral records accurately. Perform CERSAI maintenance including charge creation and release for various asset types. Update PSL for CCOD products based on templates received from business. Coordinate insurance policy maintenance as per sanction terms with the centralized desk. Prepare and release Disbursement Advice to Loan Maintenance Team for loan disbursements. Issue Limit Loading Instructions (LLI) to Treasury and CMS teams for respective products. Manage insertions of documents received post-disbursement. Close deferrals upon receipt of requisite documents from Business Units. Track post-disbursement conditions in DRS marked as “pre-approved”. Handover files and dockets to DMT and obtain acknowledgements. Weekly handover of PDC/SPDCs to vendors and collect acknowledgements. Liaise with auditors and ensure resolution of audit queries. Generate and maintain MIS reports including daily reporting, pending status, and insertions. Confirm release of property and verify documents before handing over to stakeholders. Ensure sanction letters are signed by authorized signatories as per business/credit list.
