Senior Quantity Surveyor

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will lead the commercial and cost management of projects from tender through to final account. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, subcontractors and clients to protect margins, control costs and ensure contracts are administered fairly and accurately. You will also guide and mentor junior surveyors on the team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, bills of quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates from drawings and specifications
• Lead tender preparation, including subcontractor enquiries, tender analysis, and negotiation of rates and packages
• Prepare, review and agree interim valuations, payment certificates and final accounts
• Manage subcontractor and supplier contracts, including procurement, variations, and claims
• Assess, price and negotiate variation orders, extensions of time and change requests
• Produce monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete projections
• Monitor project budgets and identify cost risks early, recommending corrective action
• Ensure compliance with contract terms (FIDIC / JCT / NEC or local equivalent) and flag commercial and contractual risks
• Support value engineering exercises to optimise cost without compromising quality
• Maintain accurate commercial records and documentation for audits and dispute resolution
• Supervise and mentor junior quantity surveyors and QS assistants

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field
• \[7-10+] years of post-qualification experience in quantity surveying, including at least \[3] years in a senior role
• Proven experience on \[building / infrastructure / commercial / residential] projects of comparable scale
• Strong knowledge of standard methods of measurement (CPWD)
• Solid understanding of construction contracts and dispute resolution

Pay

₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
