CNC Machine Operator
Role Summary We need an experienced CNC press brake operator to bend sheet metal components for our modular kitchen products accurately and consistently, with minimum rejection and safe machine handling. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret engineering drawings, including dimensions, bend angles, tolerances and bend sequence. Set up the CNC press brake, enter or edit bending programs, and set back-gauge, stroke and tonnage correctly. Select, fit and change punches and dies suitable for the material, thickness and bend radius. Bend mild steel, GI, stainless steel and aluminium sheets while accounting for bend allowance and spring-back. Carry out first-piece inspection and in-process checks using vernier calipers, angle gauges, height gauges and steel rules. Meet daily production targets and keep rejection and rework to a minimum. Perform daily machine care: cleaning, lubrication, hydraulic oil level check, and prompt reporting of faults to maintenance. Follow safety procedures: PPE, light curtain or guard checks, and safe material handling. Maintain 5S at the workstation. Maintain production logs and coordinate with cutting (laser/punching), welding, finishing and stores teams. Guide and train helpers or junior operators on correct bending practices.
