Export Manager - Diamond Jewellery (Surat)

We are hiring an Export Manager who knows diamond and gold jewellery exports inside out and can take the entire export process off our hands. Only candidates currently residing in Surat can apply.

About Us

We are a Surat-based diamond and jewellery group with four businesses under one roof: Chahna Jewels (fine, bridal, polki and jadau jewellery, established in 1997), Surati Jewellery Factory (our manufacturing arm), Silverique by Chahna Jewels (925 sterling silver jewellery) and Prestige Corporate Gifts (corporate and wedding gifting).

About the Role

We manufacture jewellery in Surat and want to ship it to buyers across multiple countries, including the US, UK, Australia, the UAE and more. You will own the export function end to end. That means knowing exactly what is required to send jewellery to each country and making sure every shipment goes out correctly, legally and on time.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the complete export process for diamond, gold and silver jewellery, from order confirmation to delivery at the buyer's end
• Prepare and verify all export documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, shipping bills, certificates of origin and other country-specific paperwork
• Know and follow the import rules, duties, taxes and compliance requirements of each destination country, including the US, UK, Australia, the UAE and other markets
• Handle Indian export compliance, including IEC, GST and LUT, customs procedures, GJEPC requirements, hallmarking norms, duty drawback and export incentives
• Classify products correctly with HS codes and make sure declared values and descriptions meet customs requirements
• Coordinate with couriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and insurance providers for safe and compliant shipments
• Make sure natural diamonds, lab grown diamonds, gold and silver shipments meet the certification and declaration rules of the destination country
• Handle payment and banking formalities for exports, including foreign exchange documentation and realisation of export proceeds
• Coordinate with the production, accounts and sales teams so every export order moves smoothly
• Track shipments, resolve customs delays or document issues and keep clear export records
• Stay updated on changes in export and import laws, duties and trade regulations of key markets
• Advise management on which markets are viable and what each one requires

What We Are Looking For

• Prior experience in jewellery export, working in a jewellery manufacturing company, export house or export agency that shipped jewellery to multiple countries
• Strong knowledge of export documentation, customs, taxes and compliance for jewellery
• Good understanding of the import laws and requirements of major markets such as the US, UK, Australia and the UAE
• Knowledge of diamond and gold jewellery, including hallmarking, certification and valuation basics
• Strong coordination, follow-up and problem-solving skills
• Must currently reside in Surat
