Job Overview

SmartBridge is looking for enthusiastic and passionate Cyber Security Interns with a strong interest in computer networking, network security and cybersecurity technologies. Candidates should have a basic understanding of networking concepts and a willingness to gain practical experience through hands-on projects, technical learning and mentoring activities.

Roles \& Responsibilities

• Develop a strong understanding of computer networking fundamentals, including OSI and TCP/IP models, IP addressing, subnetting, DNS, DHCP, routing and switching.
• Understand network architecture, protocols and network communication.
• Learn network security concepts such as firewalls, VPNs, access control and network segmentation.
• Perform basic network scanning, enumeration and vulnerability assessments.
• Gain hands-on exposure to cybersecurity tools such as Nmap, Wireshark and Burp Suite.
• Analyze network traffic and identify suspicious activities and potential security threats.
• Assist in identifying vulnerabilities and recommending basic security measures.
• Work on assigned cybersecurity projects and complete tasks within deadlines.
• Prepare technical documentation, project reports and learning materials.

Learning \& Mentorship Responsibilities

• Assist learners with technical queries and project execution.
• Participate in mentoring, training and knowledge-sharing activities.
• Support the development of cybersecurity learning materials, tutorials and practical lab exercises.
• Work under the guidance of experienced mentors to improve technical knowledge.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of computer networking fundamentals (OSI Model, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, IP addressing and subnetting).
• Understanding of network security concepts, firewalls and VPNs.
• Familiarity with networking and security tools such as Nmap, Wireshark or Burp Suite is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of Python or Bash scripting is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and work on practical assignments.

Eligibility Criteria

• Any graduate, preferably from Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity or related backgrounds.
• 2025, 2026 and 2027 pass-out candidates are preferred.
• Candidates must be interested in networking and cybersecurity.
• Must be willing to work from our Hyderabad office (Gachibowli).
• Should be comfortable participating in technical mentoring and learner-support activities.
