Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Senior Tool Maker with experience in stamping tool assembly, maintenance and trials. The candidate will support new tool development and ensure reliable tool performance, dimensional accuracy and production readiness. Experience with high-precision components and connectors will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble, fit and develop new stamping tools according to engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct tool trials, identify issues and carry out necessary corrections.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of stamping tools.
• Troubleshoot issues such as burr formation, dimensional variation, punch damage and die wear.
• Carry out tool dismantling, inspection, repair, reassembly and alignment.
• Inspect tool components and trial parts using precision measuring instruments.
• Coordinate with design, production and quality teams for tool validation and production handover.
• Maintain records of tool maintenance, modifications and trial results.
• Follow tool room safety procedures and housekeeping standards.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in stamping tools, press tools, tool assembly and tool maintenance.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, dimensions and tolerances.
• Knowledge of punches, dies, clearances, tool alignment and fitting practices.
• Proficiency in using micrometers, vernier calipers and other precision measuring instruments.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving and teamwork skills.

Preferred Experience

• Manufacturing of high-precision stamped components and connectors.
• Exposure to progressive press tools.
