Hiring Chinese Cook/Chef

Job Summary

We are looking for an energetic and fast-paced Indo-Chinese fast food cook to join our kitchen team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up the Chinese section, preparing daily ingredients, and tossing up high-quality Indo-Chinese favourites like Hakka Noodles, Fried Rice, Manchurian, and Chilli Chicken.

If you have at least 1 year of commercial kitchen experience, good wok-handling skills, and can deliver great taste under pressure during rush hours, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

• Fast-Paced Cooking: Fire up the wok to prepare standard Indo-Chinese dishes (starters, noodles, rice, and gravies) quickly according to our established recipes.
• Daily Mise en Place: Chop vegetables, slice meats, portion ingredients, and pre-mix essential sauces before peak service hours begin.
• Sauce \& Gravy Prep: Maintain consistency by preparing the daily batches of base sauces (Schezwan, Manchurian, sweet \& sour, chili pastes).
• Order Speed \& Consistency: Ensure every plate or delivery box leaves the kitchen hot, properly seasoned, and neatly presented within target ticket times.
• Station Cleanliness: Maintain a spotless wok station, clean tools between orders, and strictly follow kitchen hygiene and food safety guidelines.
• Inventory \& Freshness: Track daily ingredient stock, ensure proper rotation (FIFO), and alert the supervisor when supplies run low.

Required Skills \& Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience in an Indo-Chinese fast-food outlet, QSR, cloud kitchen, or local restaurant.
• Culinary Skills: Confident wok handling, toss-frying, deep-frying, and quick, safe knife skills for rapid veggie chopping.
• Menu Knowledge: Strong familiarity with common Indo-Chinese ingredients, spice levels, and sauces (soy sauce, vinegar, green/red chili sauce, MSG).
• Speed \& Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts and maintain accuracy during high-volume lunch and dinner rushes.
• Teamwork: Punctual, reliable, and able to communicate smoothly with service staff and other kitchen helpers.
