Tailor — Female Candidate ONLY Key Responsibilities Cut fabric accurately as per pattern and size specifications, minimising wastage Stitch garments (kurtas, dresses, separates, and similar) as per design and construction sheets Handle different fabric types, including natural and vegan fibres, with appropriate machine settings and techniques Carry out finishing work including hemming, seams, buttonholes, and attachments Conduct quality checks at each stage of production, flag stitching defects, uneven seams, sizing mismatches, or fabric flaws before dispatch Coordinate with the pattern master and production lead on fit issues or construction queries Maintain machines and work area, report any equipment issues promptly Meet daily and weekly production targets without compromising on quality Keep wastage of fabric and thread to a minimum Requirements Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a tailor in a garment production unit or export house Strong hands on skill in cutting and machine stitching (overlock, flatlock, single needle) Working knowledge of quality checking standards for finished garments Ability to read and follow pattern sheets and size charts Attention to detail and consistency across pieces Willingness to work with delicate or specialty fabrics and hand block printed material
