Manufacturing / Production / Tool Room JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Wire-cut Operator to set up, program, and operate Wire EDM machines for manufacturing high-precision metal components. The ideal candidate has strong CNC machining knowledge, attention to quality, and can work from complex engineering drawings. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Set up, operate, and monitor Wire EDM machines.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings \& blueprints.
• Program CNC based Wire EDM (Fanuc, Mitsubishi, Sodick).
• Load correct wire and work pieces per job requirements.
• Set up fixtures and work holding devices accurately.
• Monitor cutting for dimensional accuracy \& surface finish.
• Inspect finished parts using micrometers, calipers \& CMM.
• Perform routine maintenance: wire threading, flushing, filters.
• Troubleshoot machine errors and cutting/program faults.
• Maintain production records, job sheets, and quality logs.
• Adhere to safety regulations, SOPs, and ISO/TS standards.
• Coordinate with tooling, design \& quality teams on deadlines.

QUALIFICATIONS \& EDUCATION

• Diploma / ITI in Machinist, Tool \& Die Making, or Mechanical Engineering.
• Certificate in CNC Programming or Precision Machining (added advantage).

EXPERIENCE

• Minimum 1–3 years operating Wire EDM / Wire-cut machines.
• Experience in tool \& die, mold making, aerospace or automotive preferred.

TECHNICAL SKILLS

• Wire EDM operation: Fanuc / Mitsubishi / Sodick / CHMER.
• CNC programming: G-code, M-code, CAM software.
• EDM parameters: feed rate, voltage, wire tension, flushing.
• Read 2D/3D drawings \& GD\&T (Geometric Dimensioning \& Tolerancing).
• Precision instruments: vernier, micrometer, height gauge, CMM.
• Basic metallurgy and material properties knowledge.
