CNC Setter/Programmer

About the Role

As a CNC Operator, you will set up, run, and monitor computer numerical control machines to produce precision components for \[industry, e.g., aerospace, automotive, medical devices]. You will work from engineering drawings and CAD/CAM programs, ensure every part meets tolerance, and keep production moving safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC mills, lathes, and/or machining centers according to production schedules
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical specifications
• Load and unload tooling, fixtures, and raw materials; select correct cutting tools and speeds/feeds
• Load, edit, and verify CNC programs; make minor program adjustments at the machine
• Perform first-article inspections and in-process checks using micrometers, calipers, gauges, and CMM or other measuring equipment
• Monitor machine operation to catch tool wear, vibration, or quality issues before they become scrap
• Maintain accurate production logs, inspection records, and quality documentation
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting on assigned equipment
• Keep your work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards (5S practices)
• Collaborate with programmers, quality, and supervisors to solve problems and improve processes

Required

• Proven experience operating CNC mills and/or lathes (or a completed machining program with hands-on training)
• Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring tools
• Solid understanding of machining principles, tooling, and material properties
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to \[XX] lbs

Preferred

• Experience with Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Siemens controls
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, SolidWorks, Fusion 360\)
• Certification in machining or manufacturing technology (NIMS or equivalent)
• Experience with GD\&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
• Experience in a high-mix, low-volume or AS9100/ISO 9001 environment

₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
