Job Description – CNC Laser Cutting Machine Operator

Job Summary

Responsible for operating CNC Laser Cutting Machines for sheet metal components as per engineering drawings, specifications, and production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate CNC Laser Cutting Machines.
• Read and understand engineering drawings.
• Set machine parameters, cutting speed, and power.
• Load and unload sheet metal materials.
• Perform laser cutting as per production plans.
• Ensure dimensional accuracy and cutting quality.
• Check material thickness and cutting specifications.
• Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning.
• Identify and report machine or cutting defects.
• Follow production targets and safety procedures.

Requirements

• ITI / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
• Experience in CNC Laser Cutting Machine operation.
• Knowledge of sheet metal materials (MS, SS, GI, Aluminum).
• Basic knowledge of engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of CNC machine operation and programming preferred.
• Ability to use measuring instruments.
• Good teamwork and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Experience

• 1–5 years in Sheet Metal / Fabrication Industry.
• Experience with CNC Fiber Laser Cutting Machines preferred.
