Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Powder Coating Supervisor to manage daily powder coating operations, supervise operators, maintain production schedules, and ensure the timely completion of coating targets. Candidates with hands-on experience in powder coating aluminium profiles or metal components will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily powder coating operations and ensure production targets are achieved.
• Plan and allocate work to powder coating operators and helpers.
• Monitor the complete coating process, including surface preparation, pretreatment, powder application, and oven curing.
• Ensure correct coating parameters, including oven temperature, curing time, and coating thickness, as applicable to the process.
• Monitor the availability and usage of powder, chemicals, materials, and consumables.
• Coordinate with the Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Stores teams.
• Monitor coating defects, rework, powder wastage, and production delays.
• Troubleshoot coating issues such as uneven coating, poor adhesion, orange peel, and colour variation.
• Maintain daily production reports, shift reports, and material consumption records.
• Ensure proper handling of equipment and routine maintenance coordination.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and ensure cleanliness in the powder coating area.
• Guide operators and ensure work is completed according to production plans and delivery schedules.

Required Skills

• Hands-on experience in powder coating operations.
• Knowledge of aluminium profiles, metal components, or metal fabrication processes.
• Understanding of surface preparation, pretreatment, powder application, and oven curing.
• Ability to supervise operators and manage shift-wise production activities.
• Knowledge of coating defects, troubleshooting, and rework control.
• Ability to maintain production records and meet daily targets.
• Good team-handling, coordination, and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification

Diploma or ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 2–5 years of relevant powder coating experience.
• Experience in aluminium profile powder coating or metal component coating is preferred.
• Must have direct experience supervising powder coating operations and operators.
• Candidates with only Quality Inspection, wet painting, or CED coating experience without direct powder coating exposure will not be preferred.
