Position Overview

We are looking for a Production Engineer with 1–2 years of experience to support and optimize day-to-day manufacturing operations. The candidate will be responsible for monitoring production activities, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards, improving process efficiency, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, good analytical and problem-solving abilities, and a hands-on approach to production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Production Operations

• Monitor day-to-day production activities and ensure smooth workflow on the shop floor.
• Ensure production targets are achieved as per the planned schedule.
• Monitor manpower, machines, materials, and production processes for efficient utilization.
• Identify and resolve production-related issues in coordination with supervisors and relevant departments.
• Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and production processes.
• Maintain production records, reports, and documentation.

Process Improvement

• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce cycle time, minimize wastage, and improve overall efficiency.
• Assist in implementing process improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing practices.
• Analyze production data and identify recurring operational issues.
• Support root-cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions for production problems.
• Assist in optimizing machine utilization and production line efficiency.

Quality \& Safety

• Ensure production activities are carried out in accordance with defined quality standards.
• Coordinate with the Quality team to address process and product-related issues.
• Monitor rejection, rework, and wastage levels and support corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with workplace safety procedures and company policies.
• Promote good housekeeping and 5S practices on the shop floor.

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Stores, Purchase, Planning, and Engineering teams to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Communicate production requirements and issues to the concerned departments.
• Support production planning and execution as required.
• Assist in coordinating preventive maintenance activities to minimize machine downtime.

Reporting \& Documentation

• Prepare daily and periodic production reports.
• Maintain records related to production output, downtime, rejection, rework, and productivity.
• Track production KPIs and highlight deviations to the reporting manager.
• Ensure proper documentation of process changes and improvement activities.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of relevant experience in production/manufacturing operations.
• Freshers with relevant internships or strong technical exposure may also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, production planning, quality systems, and industrial engineering concepts.
• Working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Office.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, proactive, disciplined, and comfortable working in a manufacturing/shop-floor environment. The candidate should demonstrate a willingness to learn, take ownership of production activities, identify problems proactively, and work collaboratively with different departments.

Candidates with 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment will be preferred.

Pay

₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
