Staff Nurse

• Provide nursing care, assess patients, monitor their progress, and report changes to the physician.

• Assist doctors during clinical procedures and operate medical equipment as required.

• Follow infection-control, patient-safety, and emergency-escalation protocols.

• Administer prescribed medications and treatments and maintain accurate clinical records.

• Maintain patient confidentiality and communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

• Maintain assigned ward equipment, medicines, and inventory, where applicable.

• Attend training programmes and keep nursing knowledge and skills up to date.

Unit-Specific Responsibilities

• Labour Ward: Monitor patients during labour, assist with deliveries and LSCS preparation, and support epidural-related care as directed.

• NICU: Provide newborn care, support feeding, monitor babies using NICU equipment, and assist doctors with procedures.

• Post-Operative Ward: Provide post-operative care, manage relevant lines and catheters, use infusion equipment, and follow post-operative care protocols.

• General Ward: Provide routine patient care, monitor recovery, maintain records, and escalate emergencies.

• NICU Coordinator: Coordinate with doctors, nursing staff, patients, and related clinics, and ensure timely entry of delivery details in the system.

Qualifications and Experience

GNM / B.Sc. Nursing with valid nursing registration. M.Sc. Nursing may be applicable for relevant senior roles. Relevant experience as required for the assigned position and unit.
