Responsibilities

Prepare and bake pastries, breads, cakes, and desserts as per standard recipes.

Assist in daily pastry and bakery production under senior chefs’ guidance.

Ensure consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.

Maintain hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety standards (FSSAI).

Follow kitchen SOPs, FIFO, proper storage, and labeling procedures.

Monitor ingredient quality and report shortages or spoilage.

Minimize wastage through proper portion control and handling.

Support basic training of junior staff when required.

Perform duties assigned by the Pastry Chef or senior team members.

Qualifications

Diploma in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred.

0–1–2 years of experience in a branded restaurant or hotel.

Innovative mindset with basic knowledge of menu planning and menu costing. Ability to work under pressure and for long hours in a kitchen environment.
