Laptop Service Technician

Job Summary

Sysmantech Group is looking for a skilled and experienced Laptop Service Technician with strong knowledge of chip-level troubleshooting and motherboard repair.

The candidate should have hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing laptop hardware issues, motherboard faults, and component-level failures. The ideal candidate must be capable of independently handling complex laptop repairs and ensuring quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair laptop hardware and motherboard-related issues.

Perform chip-level troubleshooting and component-level repairs.

Identify and repair motherboard faults, including power IC, charging IC, MOSFET, BIOS IC, and other circuit-related issues.

Handle DC power supply testing, multimeter testing, and circuit-level diagnosis.

Perform SMD component replacement, soldering, and desoldering.

Troubleshoot laptop power issues, no-display problems, charging issues, and short circuits.

Handle BIOS programming and related troubleshooting.

Diagnose and repair issues involving RAM, SSD, keyboards, displays, hinges, and other laptop components.

Perform laptop dismantling, reassembly, and preventive maintenance.

Maintain service quality and ensure timely completion of repairs.

Prepare service reports and maintain proper repair documentation.

Follow customer data privacy and service centre safety standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

ITI / Diploma / relevant technical qualification in Electronics or Computer Hardware is preferred.

Minimum 1–3 years of hands-on laptop servicing experience.

Strong knowledge of chip-level motherboard repair.

Practical experience with soldering stations, hot air rework stations, DC power supplies, and multimeters.

Knowledge of circuit diagrams and motherboard schematics.

Ability to identify faulty electronic components and perform component-level replacements.

Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and handle multiple service jobs.

Preferred Candidate

Candidates with proven experience in laptop motherboard chip-level repairs.

Experience servicing HP, Dell, Lenovo, Acer, Asus, and other laptop brands will be an advantage.

Candidates with experience in authorized or professional laptop service centres are preferred.
